Rare Georg Jensen Old Production Sterling Silver Acorn Serving Fork
Presented is a fantastic Georg Jensen sterling silver serving fork. This piece is made in the classic Acorn pattern, which began production in 1915. As the name suggests, this pattern features a stylized acorn design on the handle. The piece is well made, with the marks of hand hammering visible in the finish of the tines. This particular piece is an example of an older style of Acorn pattern pieces, with floral embellishment above the tines of the fork that is not present on more moden pieces. These older pieces are harder to find today, so this is a rare opportunity for any silver collector looking to add to their collection. Great for a wide variety of serving purposes.
This piece is in excellent condition. There are no splits, no dents, no monograms, no monogram removals, and no repairs.
The piece is stamped with the Georg Jensen maker's mark, as well as sterling and Denmark.
The piece is about 9 1/2 inches long.
The piece weighs 104 grams or 3.7 regular ounces.
