Rare 14k Gold & Amethyst Signed Anne Besse Shepherd Modernist Earrings

Presented is a contemporary pair of 14 karat solid gold and amethyst earrings by
Anne Besse Shepherd. This set was made during the past 30 years. Shepherd is
known to work with silver and gold, but most pieces you find are sterling with
gold accents, unlike this pair which is made from solid gold. The earrings are
in a crescent shape and are designed with raised ribs and square gold pieces.
Each earring is securely bezel set with an amethyst cabochon. The earrings are
post back for pierced ears and the earring backs are also 14 karat gold purity. 

Each earring measures 2 1/8 inches long and the combined weight of the pair
is 17.7 grams.
