Presented is a gorgeous, 18 karat yellow gold and pearl bar pin made during the mid to late 19th century. This piece is American or Italian in origin and was made around the 1870s. This Victorian piece is done in a classical Etruscan Revival style, with beaded designs and textured gold accents. There are two natural seed pearls set onto the top of the pin. The pin has its original C style clasp.
This piece has been tested with nitric acid and is guaranteed to be 18 karat gold purity.
This piece is in great overall condition for its age. There are some missing wire decorations on the raised parts, but this is only noticeable upon very close inspection. There are no other damages and no repairs.
The pin measures 2 5/8 inches wide and weighs 6.4 grams.
