Presented is an antique pair of English sterling silver master salt spoons made by Charles Boyton of London in 1834. This early 19th century pair is done in the Fiddle pattern and each handle has a finely engraved crest of a chevron shaped banner between wings or a pair of pelicans.
The back of each spoon is marked with the crowned leopard's head for the city of London, the lion passant for sterling silver, a duty mark of the king's head, a date letter t for the year 1834 and maker's mark for Charles Boyton.
This pair is in great overall condition, especially considering age. There is minor surface wear, but the engravings are crisp and there are no damages or repairs.
