Lovely Pair c1920s Chinese Silver Filigree Hand Carved Turquoise Lotus Earrings
Presented is a lovely pair of antique Chinese silver and carved turquoise
earrings. These earrings date to around the 1910s-1930s. Each earring is set
with a round cabochon of turquoise beautifully hand carved into a lotus or
similar flower. The settings are done in fine filigree openwork, very intricate
and well done. The earrings have screwbacks, suitable for wear with pierced or
securely set, with no chips, just a couple of tiny nicks to two of the petals.
The filigree is in great shape and all intact. One earring has an applied plaque
of silver on the back where the earring screwback was reattached/reinforced.
The earring backs are stamped 'China.' We have tested the earrings with
nitric acid and guarantee them to be silver of at least 900 purity.
Each earring measures about ¾ of an inch in diameter.
The total weight for the pair is 9.1 grams.
