Lovely Antique c1900 Austrian Wiener Werkstatte Footed Bowl 800 Silver NO MONO

Presented is a wonderful Austrian or Polish silver footed bowl. The bowl is done in a stylish ribbed form, standing on four curved legs. The bowl is sturdy and well made, with a nice feeling of weight in the hand.

The bowl is in great condition. There are no splits, no dents, no monograms, no monogram removals, and no repairs.

The bowl has three "W" stamps, which are stamped over earlier stamps. We initially thought these were the marks for Wiener Werkstatte, but as a kind eBayer has pointed out it is very possible that they are not. Please make your own determinations. There are also Polish assay marks of a woman's head in profile, for 800 purity silver, as well as 'JS' possibly the initials of a specific maker or workman. These marks all appear on the rim of the bowl. On the underside of the rim is a small stamp, possibly a date mark.

The bowl weighs 270 grams or 9.5 regular ounces.

The bowl stands about 3 1/8 inches tall and measures about 7 1/8 inches in diameter.
