Presented is a handsome large antique sterling silver platter or casserole spoon from the 1860-1870s. This piece displays fancy bright cut engravings along the front of the handle. The back of the handle has a notch that keeps the spoon from slipping in the bowl or tray.
The reverse is marked 925 for sterling silver along with the maker's mark for Boston silversmiths Crosby, Morse, & Foss.
This piece is in excellent overall condition. This piece has a substantial weight. The engravings are well-defined. There are no monograms, no monogram removals, no breaks, and no repairs.
