Heavy Weight Gorham Sterling Silver Old English Tipt Fiddle Teaspoon
Regular price
$93.60
Presented is a great Gorham sterling silver teaspoon. This spoon is made in the Old English Tipt pattern, which began production in 1870, though these are modern pieces. As the name suggests, this is a handsome pattern modeled after old English Fiddle pattern silver, with the fiddle-head shaped terminals and distinctive shoulders above the bowl. This particular piece is marked E for "extra weight" as it is a heavier weight than the standard issue teaspoon in this pattern.
Please note, this auction is for a single heavy weight spoon. We may have more of these, please email if you are in search of additional spoons. We have other flatware pieces in this same pattern as well, which you can find in our store simply by searching the name, Old English Tipt.
The spoon is in excellent condition. This piece has been professionally cleaned and polished and is like brand new. There are no dents, no splits, no monograms, no monogram removals, and no repairs.
The spoon is stamped with the Gorham maker's mark and sterling, as well as 'E' for 'Extra weight.
The spoon is about 6 1/8 inches long.
The spoon weighs 42 grams.
