Handsome c1920s Larter 14k Gold Platinum Pearl MOP Cufflink & Shirt Stud Set
Presented is a superb quality antique cufflink and button stud set in 14 karat
gold, platinum, mother-of-pearl, and pearl. This set was made by Larter, a
renowned American jewelry maker, and dates to around the 1920s. The set consists
of two cufflinks, four medium size shirt studs, and two small studs. The fronts
of each cufflink/stud are done in dark iridescent mother of pearl, surrounded by
a finely engraved platinum frame and set in the center with a real, natural seed
pearl. The backs, toggles, and all connecting links are 14 karat yellow gold.
This is really a very classy set, and would be an impeccably stylish addition to
condition, with no chips. The backs, of the pieces that have a mechanism to them
like the medium and smaller studs, work perfectly. The engraving of the platinum
rims is nicely crisp.
Each piece is stamped and guaranteed 14k, as well as the maker's mark for
Larter. The white metal borders are platinum, nitric acid tested and guaranteed.
The small button studs are about 7.1 millimeters in diameter. The medium
studs are about 11 millimeters in diameter. The cufflinks are about 13
millimeters, with a span of about 14.5 millimeters between the buttons.
The total weight for the set is 13.1 grams.
