Gorgeous Pair 18k Gold ~1.5ct Diamond & Ruby Swirl Earrings

Presented is a gorgeous pair of 18 karat gold, diamond and ruby earrings. These earrings are relatively modern, likely of American make. The earrings are done in a sort of scroll design, set with rubies and diamonds throughout. The center of each earring is set with a round cut ruby, surrounded by a cluster of seven modern brilliant cut diamonds. Above and below the central cluster is a stripe of square cut rubies, running vertically up each earring, with the rest of the surface set with modern brilliant cut diamonds. There are 64 diamonds on each earring (128 total) varying in size from 3 points to half a point, for a total diamond weight of about 1.5 carats for the pair of earrings. The diamonds are vibrant, dazzling stones of VS to SI clarity and F/G color. The rubies total about 30 points in each earring, so about 60 points total for the pair. The rubies are real, mined-from-the-ground stones, verified by our gemologist, very
well matched in their rich red color. The earrings have threaded posts for wear with pierced ears, and have the appropriate wingnut style backs which thread very securely onto the posts.
These earrings are in great condition. The diamonds and rubies are securely set. The backs are possibly a replacement since they are a different karat from the rest of the earrings, but the backs are a high quality, secure style. The
backs may be original as some makers will use the same style/karat of findings (jewelry materials like clasps, bails, earring backs, etc) for all their pieces regardless of the material of the piece itself. The earrings themselves are stamped and guaranteed 18k. The wingnut backs and the posts are 14 karat gold, with 14k stamps on the wingnuts. Each earring is about 5/8 of an inch long, as they actually hang on the ear.
The total weight for the pair is 8.3 grams.
