Presented is a fine sterling silver serving fork made by Whiting and retailed by A. Stowell & Company. This piece is in the popular Louis XV pattern, which was patented in 1891. The front and back of the handle are decorated with sinuous scrolls along the sides and the front has a monogram of the letter C.
The back is marked with the Whiting hallmark, sterling, patent 1891 and A. Stowell & Co.
This piece is in fabulous condition. There are no dents, no breaks, no splits, no monogram removals and no repairs.
The fork measures 8 3/4 inches long and weighs 74 grams or 2.6 ounces.
