Presented is an eye-catching pair of 14 karat gold, diamond and sapphire earrings. These earrings date to around the 1950s, and are likely of American make. Each earring is set with five modern brilliant cut diamonds of about 3 points each in size, at least a quarter of a carat in total diamond weight. These are dazzling diamonds of VVS to VS clarity and F/G color. The diamonds are set in white gold, so they really pop. On either side of each earring is a round cabochon sapphire. The earrings have clipbacks, suitable for wear with pierced or unpierced ears.
The earrings are in great condition. The clipbacks have a good strong spring mechanism. The diamonds and sapphires are securely set. There are no breaks and no repairs.
The earrings are stamped 585 for 14 karat gold, as well as a maker's mark we unfortunately do not recognize.
Each earring is about 7/8 of an inch long.
The total weight for the pair is 15.0 grams.
