Eye Catching 18k Yellow Gold & Diamond Ring Modern

Presented is a wonderful quality 18K gold and diamond ring. The ring is topped with a large transitional cut diamond that is set in white gold and raised up above the rest of the ring. This central diamond measures approximately 4.65 millimeters in diameter at the top. We estimate this stone to be 45-48 points or almost a half carat. Because the stone is a transitional cut it will actually weigh a little bit more than the mm diameter would indicate. It has G color and SI2 clarity. The yellow gold band has 24 modern round brilliant cut diamonds set in white gold along the top. These smaller diamonds have H-I color and mostly VS clarity with a few falling into the SI1 range. The 21 smaller diamonds are approximately .5 (half of a point) to 2 points each. The total diamond weight in this ring is approximately 70 - 75 points but possibly more. The yellow gold setting is very nicely made and has good weight. The ring is marked 18 KT on the inside of the band. We have tested the ring with nitric acid and guarantee it to be 18K gold. The maker's mark, each is only partially visible, appears to be Mayors. The condition is excellent. There are no chips, no cracks, no splits, no breaks, and no repairs. The ring is a size 8 1/2. The weight is 8.9 grams.
