Eye-catching 14k Yellow Gold 21.25ct Purple Amethyst Cocktail Ring Size 6.25

Presented is a stunning 14 karat gold and amethyst cocktail ring. This piece
dates to around the 1950s, but we are not sure where it was made. The ring is
set with a gorgeous rich purple amethyst, oval cut and about 21.25 carats in
size, beautifully faceted to maximize its depth and clarity. The amethyst is
prong set at the four cardinal points around the stone, with each prong having
three separate fingers. The top of the gold setting, the prongs and the rim
around the stone, are rose gold, while the band and the ribbed underside of the
setting are rich yellow gold, but the distinction is hard to see.

The ring is in great condition. The amethyst is securely set. There are no
breaks and no repairs.

The band is stamped and guaranteed 14k.

The ring is a size 6 1/4. The head of the ring measures about 24.5 by 17.6 millimeters, length by width. The head of the ring has a height of about 12.1 millimeters, which is about how far it will stand up off the finger when worn.

The ring weighs 10.8 grams.
