Excellent Towle 73pc Sterling Silver Craftsman Flatware Set
Presented is a fabulous Towle sterling silver 73 piece flatware set. This set is made in the Craftsman pattern, which began production in 1932. This is a sleek, stylish pattern with a cut-cornered and beveled sort of design to the handles. This set is in pristine condition, and looks like it has seen very little if any use. Three of the pieces are even still in their original plastic wrappers.
This set is in great condition. The details of the pattern are nice and crisp. There are no dents, no breaks, no monograms, no monogram removals, and no repairs.
We are including with the set a felt-lined wooden flatware storage chest. The chest is in good shape and does an excellent job of protecting the silver from wear. The chest is a free gift and does not factor in to the price or condition statement of the set, we merely include it as a convenience for the buyer. If you do not want this storage chest, please let us know and we will not ship it.
Each non-knife piece is stamped with the Towle maker's mark as well as sterling. The knives are marked on the blade with Towle, sterling handle, and stainless blade.
The set weighs 2370 grams or 83.6 regular ounces, weighable silver weight. This weight does not include the knives with stainless steel blades, so there is actually more than this weight in sterling silver for the entire set.
