Presented is a high Victorian, 14 karat deep yellow gold brooch or pin made in America during the 1850s-70s. This piece is done in the Etruscan Revival style of the times. There are gold balls decorating the edge of the piece and a wonderful band of granulated wire design on the top of the pin. The center has a raised, riveted piece of gold that turns freely but is securely attached through the center. There is a glass and bezel locket on the back of the piece to hold a lock of hair or a photograph. There is a small hoop at the top of the pin so it can be hung as a pendant.
