David Andersen Sterling Silver Enamel Denmark Coat of Arms Shot Glass Vodka Cup
Presented is a wonderful antique Norwegian sterling silver shot glass or vodka cup, made by David Andersen and dating to the first quarter of the 1900s. The cup is beautifully decorated on the front with an enamel coat of arms for Denmark, the three lions in rich cobalt blue on a white field, in a border of red guilloche enamel, all topped by a crown. The interior of the cup has a gold wash, to protect the silver from whatever contents you choose to imbibe.
The underside of the piece is stamped with 925 for sterling silver as well as the maker's mark for David Andersen, as used circa 1888-1925.
The cup stands about 2 inches tall at the rim and measures about 1 ½ inches in diameter.
The cup weighs 46 grams, or 1.6 regular ounces.
