Columbian 18K Gold Emerald Aztec Man & Eagle Necklace
Regular price
$2,952.00
Presented is a neat 18K gold and emerald necklace set with emeralds and a small
red gem. The figure of a man is crowned with a row of swirled disks, perhaps a
crown, headband or stylized hair. His eyes are prong-set emeralds, and his
mouth is set with a tiny red gem. His hands are on his hips, and 12 emeralds
are bead set in a raised setting on his front. Two spread-winged eagles flank
him, and each has emerald eyes, and 6 more emeralds bead set on their fronts.
The Aztec man and the birds have wonderful texturing, a nice florentine finish
with engraving over it.
The piece is marked 750 for 18K gold. We have tested it with nitric acid and
guarantee it to be 18K gold.
The condition is excellent. The stones are securely set. All but two are in
great shape. These two are chipped, but this is very difficult to see unless
you hold the necklace up to your nose. Certainly no one will see it while you
are wearing it. There are no breaks, no cracks, no splits, no dents, no other
chips and no repairs.
The necklace is 15 inches long.
The weight is 22.5 grams. Substantial!
