Presented is a wonderful Klondike gold rush pin, dating to around 1890-1905. The pin consists of a 14 karat crescent shape, adorned with real gold nuggets, which are by their nature as pure as naturally occurring gold gets, 23-24 karat. The pin incorporates a design of a gold miner's tools: a pickaxe, a shovel, and a round pan, as in "panning for gold." The pin is quite detailed and well made, the well-finished implements are an appealing contrast to the rough nuggets of gold. The back of the pin reads Klondike. The pin has a simple, C-style clasp.

This piece is in great condition. The pin clasp functions well and closes securely. There are no breaks and no repairs.

The pin is not stamped or hallmarked, but we have tested it with nitric acid and guarantee that the gold nuggets are 23-24 karat gold and the rest of the pin is 14 karat gold.

The pin is about 7/8 of an inch long.

This piece weighs 3.8 grams.
