c1800-1850 Antique Toledo Damascene High Karat Gold Club Trefoil Pin Brooch

Presented is a lovely Toledo damascene high karat gold inlay pin or brooch.
This piece dates to the second half of the 1800s. The brooch is done in an oval
form, with little fleur de lis designs at the four cardinal points around the
edge. The center of the brooch features a club design inside an oval border,
with ornate foliate scroll work on either side. The high karat gold is very
bright and appealing against the rich dark oxidized background. The pin has an
old C style clasp.

The pin is in good overall condition. There is some wear to the gold inlay
here and there, but the main decorations (the club and its border) are clear and
bright. There are no breaks and no repairs.

The pin measures about 1 5/8 by 1 1/8 inches, LxW.

The pin weighs 6.2 grams.
