Presented is a beautiful pair of 14 karat gold and emerald earrings. These earrings were made in the 1950s-1980s, and are likely of American make. The earrings are done in a lovely openwork style, like a gold lace flower, set with seven emeralds in the center. These are good size emeralds, about 25 points/a quarter carat each, for a total weight of about 3.5 carats. The earrings have omega style clipbacks, suitable for wear with pierced or unpierced ears. The earrings could easily have a post added by a jeweler, for wear with pierced ears.
The earrings are in great condition. The clipbacks have a good strong spring mechanism. The emeralds are securely set. The emeralds have some minor surface abrasions here and there, and one has a small chip. This is hard to notice without close inspection. There are no breaks and no repairs.
The earrings are stamped and guaranteed 14 karat gold.
Each earring is about 1 inch in diameter.
The earrings have a total weight of 13.6 grams.
