Antique Victorian Memorial Mourning Hair 16K 18K Gold Turquoise Pearl Brooch Pin

Presented is an antique, 16 karat yellow gold, natural pearl and turquoise stone pin or brooch made in America between the 1850s and the 1870s. This Victorian, 19th century piece is large and ornate. The pin is intricately designed with engravings, bead work and a full figural flower in the center with green gold leaves. The back has a glass locket that currently has an finely woven real human hair lock inside. This is a very fine quality example of Victorian mourning or memorial jewelry. The pin comes in its old, original, fitted box.

This piece has been tested and is guaranteed to be at least 16 karat gold purity and possibly up to 18 karat gold purity.

The pin is in great overall condition. There are a couple of tiny beads missing along the edge, but this is only noticeable upon close inspection.
