Presented is an elegant 14K gold and sapphire bar pin made by Krementz & Company of Newark, New Jersey. The pin is topped with three round sapphires interspersed with Greek key designs and bands of leaves against a finely textured background. The entire pin is beautifully made. The sapphires are a beautiful cornflower blue color. The pin was most likely made in the early 1900s.
The pin is marked on the clasp with the maker’s mark for Krementz and 14K. We have tested the pin with nitric acid and guarantee it to be 14K gold.
The condition is excellent. The sapphires are well set. The pin stem is a bit bent, but this is irrelevant. It is still in great working order. There are no chips, no cracks, no splits, no breaks, and no repairs.
The pin is 2 1/2 inches long.
