Regular price $240.00 $0.00 Unit price per
Presented is an antique, coin silver serving spoon made by Samuel Kirk & Son between 1846 to 1861.  This piece is in the Mayflower pattern, which was patented in 1846 and it is old production. The front of the handle is finely engraved with swirling flowers and scrolls surrounding a rectangular cartouche that has never been monogrammed. The long bowl is done in a shell form.

The back is marked S. Kirk & Son and 10.15 for the silver purity. This mark was used in Baltimore, which had an assay office. Kirk only used this combination of hallmarks between 1846 to 1861. This serving spoon has the oldest hallmarks possible for the Mayflower pattern.

This piece is in excellent overall condition, especially for its age.

Length: 10 1/8 inches.

Weight: 55 grams.
