Antique c1870 German Silver Ornately Designed Gilded Pierced Fish/Pastry Server
Regular price
$180.00
Presented is a very decorative, solid silver fish or pastry server made by Koch and Bergfeld of Bremen, German during the mid to late 19th century. This piece is very heavy for its size. The back of the handle has and original monogram of the letter C. The pierced and hand engraved base has an old gold wash.
The back is marked with the German crescent moon and crown mark, Koch & Bergfeld hallmark, 800 purity silver, and a retailer's mark.
This piece is in excellent overall condition and the designs are crisp. There is some wear to the gold wash, as you can see in the photographs. The front of the handle appears to have had a monogram removal, but this is not noticeable.
Length: 11 3/8 inches.
Weight: 183 grams.
