Antique 19th Century Whiting New Empire Sterling Silver Stuffing/Serving Spoon
Presented is an antique, sterling silver stuffing or serving spoon made by Whiting. This piece is in the New Empire aka Empire pattern, which was patented in 1892. This spoon was made before the patent was granted so it is guaranteed to be produced before 1892. The handle is decorative and the bowl is done in a lovely shell form.
The back is hallmarked with the Whiting mark, sterling and patent applied for.
This piece is in great overall condition. There is some minor wear to the high points but no dents, no breaks, no splits, no monograms, no monogram removals and no repairs.
