Antique 1860 American Coin Sterling Silver Coverted Napkin Ring Toothpick Holder
Presented is an antique, American coin and sterling silver toothpick holder made during the mid 19th century. This interesting piece is converted from a coin silver napkin ring; there are 2 added sterling discs on one end of the ring. This could be used as a jewelry/ring holder, small bud vase or as a little dish to hold whatever you want! The coin silver napkin ring is finely hand chased and engraved with detailed flowers and stippled textures. The tall ring has bands of raised beads along each rim. There is a cartouche on the front that reads: T.G.T. from A.W.N.
We have matching napkin ring for sale in another auction, the only difference is the monogram.
The underside disc is marked sterling. The actual napkin ring is coin 900 silver purity.
This piece is in great overall condition for its age and the designs are very crisp.
