Presented is an antique, sterling silver gravy or sauce ladle made by John and Henry Lias of London, England in 1840. This early Victorian, 19th century piece is done in a classic Fiddle pattern and it has never been monogrammed.
The back of the handle bears the leopard's head for the city of London, the lion passant for sterling silver purity, a duty mark of Queen Victoria's head, a date letter E for the year 1840 and a maker's mark for John and Henry Lias.
This piece is in great condition, especially for its age. There is minor surface wear, but no damages and no repairs.
