Presented is a superb quality Russian silver serving ladle. This piece dates to 1835 and was made by Johann Fridrik Okerbloom. The ladle is made in a classic Fiddle Thread Shell pattern. The bowl of the ladle is a large size, great for serving generous portions of soup, punch, or anything else you like. The front of the handle has a nicely engraved crest of a rooster below a crown, with the motto 'Perseverance.'

This piece is in excellent condition. There are no splits, no dents, no breaks, no monogram removals, and no repairs.

This piece is fully hallmarked with the Russian 84 zolotnik mark guaranteeing silver purity of 875/1000, the maker's mark for Johann Fridrik Okerbloom, the assay mark for master Mikhail Mikhailovich Karpinsky dated 1835, and the city mark for St. Petersburg.

The ladle is about 13 3/4 inches long.
