Antique 1824 English Georgian Sterling Silver Fiddle Engraved Fish Slice Server
Presented is an antique, English sterling silver fish server or slice made in 1824. This Georgian piece is done in a classic Fiddle pattern. The large, pierced base is finely hand engraved with a fish detailed with patterned scales. This is a wonderful quality piece of good size and weight. There are no monograms.
The handle is marked with the leopard's head for the city of London, the lion passant for sterling silver purity, a duty mark of the king's head, a date letter i for the year 1824 and a maker's mark of the initials IH, possibly for John Harris V.
This piece is in excellent condition for its age with minimal surface wear. There are no damages or repairs.
