Presented is an antique, English Georgian, sterling silver serving spoon made by William Bateman of London in 1819. This early 19th century piece is done in a classic Fiddle pattern and the handle has never been monogrammed. The bowl is finely hand engraved with detailed fruits and leaves.
The back is marked with the crowned leopard's head for London, the lion passant for sterling silver, a duty mark of the king's head, a date letter d for the year 1819 and a maker's mark for William Bateman.
This piece is in excellent overall condition for its age and the designs are crisp.

Weight: 74 grams or 2.6 regular ounces.
