Antique 1798 English Georgian Sterling Silver Chased Fruit Bowl Serving Spoon
Regular price
$150.00
Presented is an antique, English sterling silver serving spoon made in 1798 by Stephen Adams of London. The handle has never been monogrammed. The bowl has a faded gold wash and is beautifully hand chased with detailed fruits and textured leaves. This is a classically designed, late 18th century, Georgian piece.
The back is marked with the crowned leopard's head for London, the lion passant for sterling silver, a duty mark of the king's head, a date letter C for the year 1798 and a maker's mark for Stephen Adams.
This piece is in great overall condition, especially considering age. There is minor surface wear, but the designs are crisp and there are no damages or repairs.
Length: 8 1/2 inches.
Weight: 56 grams.
