Presented is an American antique vanity or dresser box in amber glass, brass and impasto-style, raised white enamel and gilt decoration. The box stands on ornate, ormolu cabriole-style feet. This piece is from the late 1800's. The glass is likely European, with the box subsequently produced in the U.S.
The condition of the box is excellent. The cover snaps shut neatly. The glass is perfect. The only flaws are trivial wear in spots to the gilding and a spec of missing enamel, and a bit of tarnish on the brass.
