purity silver, a city mark for Warsaw (Poland, then a part of Russia), a maker's
mark of an anchor and “Malcz” for Karol Filip Malcz, one of the most well known
Warsaw silversmiths. One fork also has an assayer's mark with the date 1861.
This set is in great overall condition, especially considering the old age.
There is some minor wear to the gilding on some of the high points, but there
are no damages and no repairs.

Presented is an antique set of 3 Russian silver meat or baked potato serving
forks made in 1861. This mid 19th century group is done in a classic knot
pattern and each fork has a deep gold wash. The forks have two wide-set tines,
great for a wide variety of serving purposes. The back of each handle has a hand
engraved, crest of a crowned fleur-de-lis.
