Presented is a beautiful silverplated holy water font wall piece, probably from the 18th century. We believe that this piece was silver plated many years after it was made. This piece was likely produced in Continental Europe. The wall piece displays the crucifixion scene with the Virgin Mary on the left and St. John on the right of Jesus on the cross. Scrolls and fluted details surround the scene. The font has an elegant threaded detail.
This piece is in great overall condition, especially considering age. There is a small chip to the metal on the edge of the font, which is identified in the photos. Otherwise excellent condition. Let the photos be your guide.
