Presented is a rare, antique set of 12 sterling silver bouillon soup, demitasse or bon bon spoons made by Durgin during the late 1800s or possibly the early 1900s. This set is done in the Sheaf of Wheat pattern, which was patented in 1887. This set is old, original production. The handles are done in a Fiddle form and the top of each one has a raised sheaf of wheat decoration. The front of each handle has a monogram of the initials AAW and the back of each on has a monogram of the initials KB. The monogram on the back was added after the original production of the spoons, but it is still an old mono.

The back of each handle is marked for Durgin and sterling silver purity.

This set is in great overall condition for its age. There is surface wear commensurate with age and use, but the raised designs are crisp.

Length: 4 7/8 inches.

Weight: 245 grams.
