Presented is a superb quality vintage 10 karat gold, pearl and garnet pin, for the Alpha Chi Rho fraternity. The pin is shaped like the letters of the fraternity, all overlaid on top of one another and with a hand and torch on either side. The chi is set with little garnet cabochons, while the rho and the oval background of the pin are set with real seed pearls. The backing oval part of the pin also has rich blue enamel, for a nice contrast. The back of the pin is engraved with the name Gardner Brown Macintosh, and '44 for 1944, as well as the letters “phi gamma” which I believe are for Wesleyan University's chapter. The pin has a rollover style safety clasp, and a tiny loop where a dangle could be added.
