Presented is a fabulous sterling silver serving piece in the Newcastle pattern. This pattern was first made in 1895 by the Gorham Manufacturing Company. This pattern is a bead type pattern, similar to many other Bead patterns. This piece is fully hallmarked on the blade with Gorham's old company hallmarks and the word sterling.

The blade itself is engraved with the monogram EPW. This piece is solid sterling silver, both handle and the blade. Since the handle is not cement or resin filled, all the weight is sterling. This piece is very heavy, it weighs 153 grams or 5.4 ounces.

This slice is 12 3/8 inches long, 2 1/8 inches wide. There is one dent at the very top of the handle. There is one dent on the middle of the handle. The dent on the middle of the handle is very small. We have photographed both dents. The dent at the top has only been photographed from the side. It is more noticeable when viewed from the end. There are no breaks, no repairs, no monogram removals, no problems other than the 2 dents I have mentioned. A very hard to find piece.
