Nouveau Frank Whiting Sterling Silver Gladstone Salad Serving Set Spoon Fork

Presented is a fine Frank Whiting sterling silver salad serving set, consisting of a spoon and fork. These pieces are made in the elegant Gladstone pattern, which began production in 1891.  This is an attractive pattern, featuring round swirled scroll designs with a contrasting textured finish in the recesses. The serving pieces are a good large size, with a nice feeling of weight. These pieces can of course be used together as a salad set, or the pieces can be used separately for a variety of serving purposes.

This set is in great condition. The details of the design are nice and crisp. There are no splits, no breaks, no dents, no monograms, no monogram removals, and no repairs.

The stem of each piece is stamped 'sterling' and with the maker's mark for Frank Whiting.

The spoon is about 9 inches long. The fork is about 9 1/8 inches long.

The total weight for the set is 219 grams or 7.7 regular ounces.
