Presented is a handsome Italian sterling silver large fork. This piece was made by Calegaro, a high end Italian silver maker who supplied their work to names like Tiffany, Bulgari, and Hermes. The fork is done in an elegant fluted design, similar to Buccellati's Doric pattern but with more pronounced ribbing. The fork is well made, with solid silver tines and a hollow handle, all sterling silver with no weighting or filler. The fork has a nice feeling of weight and quality in the hand.
The fork is in great condition. There are no splits, no dents, no breaks, no monograms, no monogram removals, and no repairs.
The fork is stamped 925 sterling as well as Calegaro, Italy, and an Italian government registered maker's mark.
