Presented is a great pair of sterling silver tongs, by Revere Silversmiths, a New York silver maker. The tongs are done in a beautiful twist form, with the arms/handle done as one continuous spiral. The grasping ends of the tongs are oval in form, with a bold scroll decoration on the outer side of each. The tongs are very well made, with a pleasing feeling of weight and quality in the hand. The tongs were likely originally intended for ice, but can be used for a wide variety of serving purposes.
The tongs are in great condition. There are no splits, no dents, no monograms, no monogram removals, and no repairs.
This piece is stamped with the maker's mark for Revere Silversmiths as well as sterling.
The tongs are about 7 1/4 inches long.
The tongs weigh 74 grams or 2.6 regular ounces.
