Fantastic Georg Jensen Sterling Silver Cactus 2pc Fork Knife Carving Set

Presented is a fantastic Georg Jensen sterling silver two piece carving set. This piece is done in the desirable Cactus pattern (a.k.a. the Kaktus pattern), which began production in 1930. This particular set was made after 1945. The blade of the knife and the tines of the fork are stainless steel by Frank Cobb, a renowned blade-maker who often supplied stainless steel elements for Georg Jensen pieces.

This piece is in great condition. There is some surface wear, particularly to the blade of the knife, but this could easily be polished out. The blade of the knife and the tines of the fork are completely original. There are no splits, no breaks, no dents,no monograms, no monogram removals, and no repairs.

The handles are stamped with the Georg Jensen maker's mark as well as sterling and Denmark. The blade of the knife has the maker's mark for Frank Cobb, while the back of the stopper on the fork is marked stainless.

The knife is about 12 1/4 inches long. 10 3/4
