Presented is a lovely 14K gold, amethyst and diamond pendant necklace. The necklace is composed of a beautiful large teardrop shaped amethyst suspended in the center of a lovely yellow gold setting. Three small modern brilliant round cut diamonds are set just above the amethyst. Each diamond is approximately 2 points in size, for a total diamond weight of 6 points. The amethyst has very nice color and is very clean. It measures approximately 9 by 7.17 millimeters and 5.1 millimeters thick. We estimate the total carat weight in amethyst to be at least 1.85 carat. This necklace was likely made in the United States in the past 30 years.
The necklace is marked on the clasp and on the pendant portion with 14K. We have tested it with nitric acid and guarantee it to be 14K gold.
The condition is excellent. The amethyst is securely set and in great shape. There are no chips, no cracks, no splits, no breaks, and no repairs.
The necklace is 17 inches long.
