Presented is a cloisonne matchbox and matching plate (ashtray) set made in China in the first half of the 1900's. The pieces are meticulously detailed, with both top and bottom surfaces covered with a fine pattern of tiny linked spirals and featuring beautifully colored flower blossoms, buds and leaves on branching stems. The clear bright, polished copper color of the metal on the rims and sides creates a stunning contrast -- another highlight of the quality and craftsmanship of these fabulous pieces!

There are no signatures or maker's marks.
