Antique Reed & Barton La Marquise 1895 Gilded Enamel Sterling Silver Sugar Spoon

Presented is an antique, sterling silver and enamel sugar shell or small serving spoon made by Reed & Barton during the late 1800s or very early 1900s. This piece is in the La Marquise pattern, which was patented in 1895. The spoon is cast with lovely flowers, swirling scrolls and beads. The spoon has a light gold wash and the handle has enameled accents. There is an old, original monogram of the initials ELS in script.

The back of is marked for Reed & Barton and sterling silver purity.

This piece is in exellent overall condition for its age. There is a tiny bit of enamel loss, but this is only noticeable upon close inspection. There is wear to the gold wash, as you can see in the phogoraphs.
