Regular price $482.40 $0.00 Unit price per
Presented is a nice little English Victorian sterling silver vinaigrette made by Edward Smith of Birmingham. The exterior of the vinaigrette is beautifully engraved with an open cartouche on the lid framed with intricate scrolls and leaves. The underside is also engraved with scrolls and other designs. The round cartouche at the center of the lid has never been monogrammed or engraved. The hinged pierced liner on the interior is nicely pierced as well.

The vinaigrette is hallmarked on the inside of the lid with the lion passant for sterling silver, the duty mark of Queen Victoria’s head, and a maker’s mark of Edward Smith. The lower half of the vinaigrette is also marked with the lion passant for sterling silver, the anchor for Birmingham, and the date letter ‘M’ for 1861.

The vinaigrette is in great condition. There are no dents, no splits, no monograms, no monogram removals, no breaks, and no repairs.

The vinaigrette measures 5/8 inch by 7/8 inch by 3/8 inch.

The weight is 6.4 grams.
